Make Monday: Flowers In Bloom!

Our garden flowers are in poor shape this year from all the heat. And for those that have bloomed we have hardly been able to enjoy as they go unnoticed from escaping the unbearable temperatures indoors.

With being stuck inside, we decided to make an indoor garden full of flowers that bloom all the time. Our dining area has turned into the most beautiful, lasting garden and the best part is you do not have to water. Instead you must cultivate some time together on a hot day to tend to this craft.

Supplies

Coffee Filters
Washable Markers
Spray Bottle
Scissors
Green Construction Paper
Tape
Elmer's Glue
Something to protect the table
Paper towels

Instructions

After laying out your supplies and covering the table, color your coffee filters with bright marker designs. Make swirls, polka dots, and lines using all sorts of imagination. Then take your spray bottle and lightly spray the coffee filters wet being careful not to soak the marker through but to smear the colors together.

Lay the wet filters between paper towels to dry. Meanwhile your scissors to cut out stems and leaves out of the green construction paper. Once the filters are dry, glue on the stems and leaves as desired. Then tape up to display across your house.
